In the last ten years the United States has seen a tremendous surge in the number of people either working from home or starting home based businesses. Large corporations such as IBM, Anderson Consulting and even some Government agencies now allow, and even encourage, employees to work from home. Studies now show that over 32 million entrepreneurs have successful and stable home-based businesses and that number grows each year. Amazingly, people who already have jobs or other careers start many of these home-based businesses. Do you find yourself asking "who, what, why, and how". Who are these entrepreneurs? What are they doing? Why are so many people interested in working from home? How did they start and how do they succeed? A generation ago, our parents could not imagine the possibilities available to us today. Why? Technology provides a lot of the answers to these questions. High speed telecommunications, personal computers, fax machines and, most importantly, the Internet allow us a capability and freedom our parents could never dream of. More importantly, technology is available at prices that we all can afford and is no longer limited to large corporations with deep pockets. In fact, because of this technology, small home-based businesses have the same reach and capabilities as their larger competitors. This is the wave of the future and we are beginning to realize with the advancement in technology, we do not need to be in an office environment or a large business in order to access the marketplace and make money. In today’s world, the fastest way to grow any business is to take advantage of the power and reach of the Internet. You cannot pick up a newspaper or magazine and not read about how electronic-commerce, doing business over the Internet, has changed lives both here in the United States and around the world. The Internet has revolutionized how the world communicates, information is disseminated and where and how we spend our money. Again, we are still in the early cycles of this revolution and this change will continue into the near future. Most importantly for home businesses, the Internet creates a level playing field that gives every business, large or small, the same opportunity for success. On the average it costs between tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars to set up and run a conventional business. Having that much money makes it difficult for anyone to simply open their own conventional business. An Internet business on the other hand, costs dramatically less but has the potential to reach customers from all around the world for a fraction of what a traditional business would spend. Home-based businesses pursuing e- commerce have the opportunity to take advantage of the explosive growth and success of the Internet. Today, on the average over 30% of all U.S. web traffic comes from outside the U.S. and 5% to 20% of all sales on the Internet are from customers outside the United States. These statistics are growing rapidly. Consumers around the world are spending over 7 Billion dollars a year in commerce transactions over the Internet. The awareness and need for users, buyers, advertisers and merchants to get onto the Web, and to set up shop, has dramatically changed even from one year ago. According to experts such as the Gartner Group, if a business is not on the Internet today, that business will probably not exist in the next five years. We are still in the early stages of this growth cycle and the demand is expected to grow even faster in the near future and we are benefiting every day with increased efficiency and reduced costs. Combining the Internet phenomenon and the opportunity for people to work from home, control their future and set their own schedule results in a powerful combination for success. Work from home or its close counterpart the home office, is one of the biggest explosions in the economy today. This home-based economy is borne out of necessity. In the "crazy 80’s" large corporations started downsizing indiscriminately. Corporations that represented stability and permanence such as IBM, Xerox, and AT&T started to "reduce head count" of hundreds of thousands of loyal employees without a second thought. Adding insult to injury, the people responsible for the bad business decisions affecting these companies were now the ones downsizing innocent employees. The effect of these actions goes beyond the employees and goes to the heart of their families. Since then, the social compact has been broken and there is no security in Corporate America anymore!! In this environment, what are your options or alternatives? As a response to this, thousands of men and women are tired of the corporate "rat race" and retreating to home-based businesses. Staying in Corporate America means your choices are limited to decisions out of your control. Americans have one of the most profound work ethics in the world today. We are not afraid of hard work and that is what has made this country great. That is why everyone is interested in coming to America. However, it has been proven by Corporate America that they have no loyalty to their employees. Their only loyalty is to the bottom line and the final costs. It is on that bottom line that we are the most vulnerable and where most of us are when it's time to cut back. These are sterile decisions that are made behind closed doors by people who have no idea of the quality of your work or the extra effort you gave the company without requesting overtime. Because you are somebody’s employee, you have little control over your future and your life can be suddenly turned upside down. They don't know about your family's life, hopes or dreams: they don't understand that you just put braces on your child's teeth and now have to pay for them. Wall Street expects the job of these "decision makers" to be impersonal and unbiased in all areas except for the company's "best interests." When it is all said and done: to them, YOU ARE JUST A NUMBER AND REALLY DON'T MATTER. In the past 10 years the labor market in the United States has changed substantially. The American Dream of a stable job and lifelong career is gone. More than 4 million jobs have been eliminated in these last ten years and over half of the new jobs being created are in the service industry paying near minimum wage for work in stores or restaurants. But unemployment is at its lowest levels in decades. Why? Small businesses have picked up the slack and home-based businesses allow people with skills and initiative to take control of their future and prosper. According to Richard Poe, former senior editor for "Success Magazine," a shift in thinking has resulted in over 14 million people working from home full-time, with another 13 million working part-time. Statistics indicate that this number is increasing by over 600,000 new businesses per year. 90% of all the people in North America earn less than $40,000 a year and today’s two-income families are not living as well as their parents did. On the other hand, the average work from home income is $51,000 per year, about twice the average income of wage earners working for someone else. In the next ten years, over 45% of us will be working from home or have a home based business. Because we are directly responsible for our decisions, home based businesses enjoy a success rate of over 85%. This success rate is quite high when compared to other traditional small businesses such as retail stores, niche services or food service and restaurants that have about a 95% failure rate within the first 5 years. When this satisfaction is coupled with the increased flexibility we can enjoy to manage our lives, change our schedules and set our own hours, there is a contentment that affects our lives and the lives of everyone around us. Imagine no longer having to give your kids up to strangers at day care and being present at all those critical, defining moments of their lives such as birthdays, soccer games and most importantly, just being there. Is there any wonder or doubt why the number of people looking to work from home has skyrocketed in the last few years? This "New Era" of financial growth is largely due to the latest technologies that are now available to those who desire to work from home. Imagine what it would be like to run an international operation if you so choose, right from the comfort of your own home. Well, this is exactly what we offer! We offer a "freedom" that is available through a constant flow of income that does not depend on the whims of a boss, bonuses or the economy. Take a look at some of these statistics: At age 50, 75% of the population has less than $5,000 in the bank for retirement. At age 65: In addition, recent studies... It is impossible to support a family of two working full time at minimum wage! For the first time in history, the current generation is averaging a lower standard of living than their parents! Automation is taking layoffs to record highs! The Bureau of Labor Statistics says that out of 100 people that start working at the age of 25, by the age of 65... By the age of 65, 95% of people can not afford to retire and work until they die!! |
